1) Suppose you wish to generate a random real number between 5 and 21. Write down an appropriate probability density curve and use it to compute the probability that the real number generated is (a) greater than 18 (b) between 15 and 20, inclusive (c) between 15 and 20, exclusive (d) 13 (e) less than 10 or greater than 17 (f) less than 17 or greater than 10 (g) Find the mean, median, and quartiles of this distribution (standard deviation is more complicated and we haven’t talked about it).

Does anyone know what formula i would use for each individual case? (dont need answers just formula)
