Kernel of Poisson's Equation

How do you derive the kernel of poisson's equation.. the one where the sum of the second derivatives of all the variables equals a function of all the variables?

This is partial differential equation, you NEED TO HAVE:
 1)A region (ie a sphere, rectangle, cylinder)
 2)Boundary Conditions
 2)Initial Conditions
