What if evolution is not due to random 'errors' that create mutations, but what if the 'garbage dna' that scientists do not understand is some kind of an evolutionary guideline? They call it garbage because it doesn't seem to effect the traits of the creature, right? But if its some kind of evolutionary program then it would only cause any kind of forseeable effect millions of years in the future, and thus changing it or fooling with it in the here-and-now would make it seem as if it was garbage.
Garbage DNA is fed to mark-and-sweep RNA who will run through the whole chain marking what's referenced directly or indirectly by the first gene, then eliminating everything that hasn't been marked yet.
