OP, if you are serious then ask your grad school advisor.  read some journals in your field.  if you're not in grad school then apply.

Graham's number is pretty awesome (look up wikipedia).  The theory of which it is the upper bound might actually be graduate level.

thanks for all helps herein, and in case anyone has further suggestions/comments, i'm in my third year at uni, got real/complex analysis, number theory, linear and abstract algebra covered, as well as some graph theory, topology, probability.

i recently got http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/477956/4633242/
these, but haven't really looked through any yet.

physics is also rather interesting, but i like to listen to nice people talk about relativity and quantum theory much more than actually do anything.
