since technically linguistics is 'the science of langauge', i ask this here:

does anyone know of an online dictionary that has the ipa transcription of each word using standard ipa symbols?

I don't think you know what science is.

oed.com does, but they charge a fee those pricks.
http://en.wiktionary.org seems to have it for only some words for some reason.

Are you sure, because I just tried looking up some random words  on oed and it worked fine. The pronunciation guide used IPA for those words that had a guide (some did not, oddly enough)

what link you have?, oed.com doesn't have an obvious link to a free dictionary

Did you think to try the prominent box on the right with the "FIND WORD" button?

Still don't see it, I guess my ad blocking software thinks its an ad

How bout giving the link tight guy

Fuck even with the ad blocker off I don't see it, I think you must be posting from a school or something that has subscribed to the oed service

confirming, there is no 'find word' box for non-subscribers.

From a university connection, it should look like this: http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/9738/oedpo3.png

Guess there's no other way to see it.
