optical allusions

so here I am, sitting in the plysics lab at my school, waiting for my first optics class to start (yes, summer school, alas).  tell me, my fellow /sci/entists, what am I in for?

Maybe you need to go to English class first, since the correct phrase is optical "illusions", not allusions. Your not indirectly referencing something, you're tricking your mind with an Illusion into seeing something that isn't true or real.

Oh, and I'm assuming that "plysics" was supposed to be "physics" as well.
