I got hired by my univ (gatech) to tutor math/science/cs/english/stuff

How do I explain stuff like Moment Generating Functions, Maxwell's Laws, Keplar's Law, MPDFs, Huffman Trees, and all that shit to girls that barely understand the first week of calculus?  =\

...ignore the guy above me.
I'll start by saying I've only taken two quarters of non-calculus physics, and that I had to look up the laws you described to be reminded of what they were about, that said...

my best advice would be to describe the concepts and give some examples of where the physical laws are derived from and how they apply to everyday situations (or at least give a few examples)  once they have that down, THEN I would try giving them the equasions and have them try a few problems.

I couldn't find what a MPDF was, so can't help there.

as for huffman trees, you'll probibly have to explain coding from the ground up, THEN explain the trees.

gl, hope that helps at all.
