There was this documentary in TV that was explaining why you see these hot supermodels/actreses going out with ugly guys. It wasn't a very scientific one but was interesting nonetheless.
So the conclusion they made
1. The guy has power/fame
2. The guy has money
3. This is the interesting bit.
The third reason:
Some of these beautiful girls complain that they always end up getting chased by the weird ones and not handsome hunks.
Its a question of confidence. The handsome guy who is so confident on his looks, when met upon by a beautiful girl start to lose confidence that she might actually reject him. And the handsome guy is not use to rejection.
The ugly guy on the other hand is use to rejection. So he will say "To heck with it, I'll just tyr my luck". Eventually there will be an ugly guy that the beautiful girl will eventually get taken by.
I actually find that Im chased more by fugy nerds than "handsome" guys

Not true. Despite a few brief and insignificant exceptions, humans tend to find long-term mates that are within +/- 2 points in the "1-10 attractiveness scale." But unlike girls, most of a guy's number is based on non-physical characteristics: money, power, personality, popularity, prowess in fucking lots of other women (social proof), sense of humor (so long as it's THEIR kind of sense of humor--so fart jokes do not apply), and albeit rarely, intelligence.

Why? because I was raped, duh. by a whole bunch of men including my father, for years while growing up. But I mean, girls don't have to have been raped to have a low self-esteem. All guys seem to care about are looks, and girls don't necessarily automatically think they're good enough. There's always another girl who is more attractive- and if that's all men care about, then second best is nothing. So being the best a man could get is generally the safest option. tl;dr if an attractive girl is with an unattractive guy, then she has low self esteem. And that's not hard when all you men care about is big tits on small frames. At least we care about things that can be attained with effort.
