Why the fuck did our cell systems evolve if they're such a health hazard wrt cancer?
Cancer is inevitable. A result of entropy. Why the fuck did our mouths evolve the way they did, if unmaintained teeth fall out by the age of 40?
We didn't evolve to live very long anyway.
You could probably name better examples, but they will mostly exist because evolution is stuck in a local minimum with them.
But evolution doesn't tend to lead to skin flaps that supposedly increase risks of infection if there wasn't some bigger benefit to it as well. Certainly not if those skin flaps are found to exist in many different species (nearly all mammals).
