there are lots of new space companies, mostly started by silicon valley people, and xprize people. some examples:
virgin galactic
spacex
blue origin
starchaser
i think this stuff is gonna take off quick. the technology is all here, and people are starting to really apply it. spacex has small satelite launches for 1/4 the competition. virgin galactic is doing space tourism for relatively cheap (only a couple hundred thousand, as compared to like 20mil for that tito guy). wouldnt that just be so cool if we all got to go to space?!
