In related news, IBM abandoned x86 entirely and sold it off to Lenovo. Now POWER will be even faster because they don't have to worry about cannibalizing their x86 server market. x86 is dying and IBM knows it. Even AMD, the company that made an "x86 everywhere" presentation a few years back, will debut 64-bit ARM processors this year.
