Getting started on web programming..

If I was to get started on web program, what should I go with? I know html, basic C++ and PHP.. I just don't know where to step my foot on now if I want to get serious. Which text editor should I use?

Use an IDE, only casuals use text editors.
Try Eclipse.

Use the text editor that you're most productive with. In my case it's vim. In your case I have no idea.
