Programmer newbie

Sup /prog/.

I have some knowledge about programming, basics of programming( I know some stuff about OOP too .. ) But I want to develope games.. I have tried with SDL but I think it's not the right stuff for me. So do you have any recommendations?

Use GLFW.
Anyway, game programming is pretty fun, you just need to know calculus pretty well.
Knowing the math though is much less useful than having a keen intuition for doing arithmetic, because without that, you'll be sitting around trying to think things out and it just won't click, scaling vectors and shit.
