best laptop for programming

i'm doing a CS major so I need a good laptop for coding. i'm thinking either a thinkpad or a mac  since that's what most tech savvy users have. what specific models?  i'm willing to go full freetard and get a lemote.

but i can type a lot faster than i write. i can use it in the library and other public places as well

dont macbook air cost a lot?
