Simple Java procjects

Hey /prog/

So I am taking an introductory course for programming and we are using Java.
For getting a better understanding of it, I like to do small projects, but everything online is either; simple exercises or not object oriented.

I prefer small projects that are OO. Any good ideas for simple projects for a newbie?

OOP is really only relevant to larger projects, imo. You should understand how to work on a small scale first, rather than trying to force in concepts that really only make sense on a large scale.

At least, that's what i'd like to say. The correct answer is "install gentoo. program in C" (or LISP or FORTRAN)
