I went back to /g/ to see what the ruckus was over their tox project and how apparently ever tox user is made aware of every other tox user's id, ip address, and friendship requests. I proposed a solution that would restrict knowledge of this information to their trusted group of friends, but I only got 2.5 responses, ranging between wont work cuz, and egin stallman gnu reference, while the rest of the posters continued to discuss irc drama.
