Men in fedoras and annoying, out-of-place "nerd girls."
I'd rather be shot. I'll read the PDF if I need it later. Otherwise, no thank you.

3-sama why do you have to be so mean? Do you not like fun?

I'm not trying to be mean.
I really don't like the idea of being around a bunch of haughty computer geeks and annoying girls trying to be geeky.
Reading about how the MD5 algorithm worked when I was a teen was cool. Playing with Linux rootkits as a teen was cool. Learning how to code "real" malware in x86 ASM when I was bored in college was cool.
But I don't define myself by the computer security knowledge I have (I do a lot of other things), so going to a conference with a bunch of people I can't stand does not interest me.
People like this are why I didn't join Mensa either. I feel out of place with boring, normal office drones, but I don't like freaks either.

I go for the contests and goodies. Esp. all the opportunities. I think this year was fun, having the general blush all the time. They def. crucified him on this conf: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqIz-RNUL1g

5-kun you just need to unwind. let loose. And you post on a message board filled with people you hate. Why do you do that to yourself?

This place is cathartic to me after suffering through the obtuse arguments and weird-ass politically correct semantic backflips on Hacker News. I can't see any of you and there's very little consistent identity most of the time, so I just pretend that none of you wear a fedora.

10-sama I can assure you that I wear at least two fedoras daily whilst I masturbate to my little pony fan fiction.
Also why have you ruined hacker news for me? It used to be about tech, now you're making it into politics. NSA this, Aaron that.
