CSS border-radius, little help needed

Sup guys. I'm aware this isn't techincally about programming, sry for that.

Problem: I need to give a menu rounded corners without reducing the active area. Border-radius reduces the active size of the element, and I can't use additional objects, it has to be done purely with CSS.

I only block CSS when it irritating or superflous. Blank *.CSS block can break many sites.
