STOP THE MODS

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-26 21:53

Let's make this clear, mods. You talk about internet freedom. You talk about internet censorship. You talk about "being the only anonymous outlet of the whole internet" yadda yadda. So why delete threads and posts??? Listen, mods. YOU are the problem. YOU are the ONE AND ONLY PROBLEM. You have done nothing but pour scorn upon the gentle requests of innocent posters. If it weren't for you and your marxist ways, people would be free and happy. Instead you have to ruin it for everybody with your higher-than-thou perfectionist narcissism. The fascism of deleting threads and posts is a sickening assault on freedom of speech in a place where it should be allowed the most, even more than most. Look at the internet we live in today. Then look at what you have done. Have you begun to hate freedom? You choose to gag us. We are no better than another North Korea chocking on the suffocating cock of censorship. Have you no belief in the strength of free expression? Is deleting every post that you feel uncomfortable with really the way forward?

There are others who do not think like you do. We do not want the community you want. We only have one thing to say to you. FUCK YOU. We will post whatever we like whenver we feel like and however we want to. Let this be the anthem to the new way of anonymous posting. FUCK YOU. Fuck mods, fuck censorship, and fuck deleting posts and threads. Let there be a NEW era, a community without prickly moderation, Let there be an uprising. NO to fascist interference! NO to destruction of innocent threads! No more! Stand and FIGHT! Freedom is the only thing we ask for.

4chan is not a place for freedom of speech, it's the property of a sellout jew, e-mail him, if he doesn't do anything arguing with the mods won't either

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-26 22:10

This place has been more boring since mods starting cleaning up.

KILL THE MODS

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-26 23:23

The mod left days ago, no thread has been deleted in days, yet you people will cling to the "MOOOODS" thing for at least another two weeks.

Mark my words.

This place has seen a marked improvement since the mods joined. All praise the mods. Mods are gods.

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-26 23:31

This place hasn't seen a change since the non-existent mods didn't join. All praise Allah. Muslims are gods.

Yes we will. Time moves slower here, imageredditor.  A meme that might pass in an hour in your home will last a month on w4c. Of you don't like it, maybe you could petition /q/ to have /prog/ linked to on /b/. It will at least be a faster death than being linked to on /g/.

You don't seem to understand. As the mod came from the imagereddits, he deleted the flood threads at an amazing speed. I bet he did his job in less than 2 hours.

Of course, being the superhero of justice he is, he went back to /q/ and now he doesn't even know there's a textboard called /prog/, because he doesn't even know what's that supposed to be. How is he supposed to remember, when there are so many e/g/in memes on /g/?

The butt holes thread was deleted less than 24 hours ago.

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-27 2:20

yes, i reported it, didnt think it would be removed lol sorry.

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-27 2:22

i also reported the 1GET thread. lets see what happens.

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-27 2:49

but that's the most sacred thread on prog. And of course they're going to delete it. Oh well. If I program continuously this weekend I may just finish my tasks.

* secure tinyscheme
* make tinyscheme apache module
* write shiichan replica in pure scheme
* make custom data base engine in pure scheme
* make dis.4chan.org/prog html parser.
* make bbcode decompiler
* load all threads in database
* launch alternative prog

oh and host the github in case any of you would like to participate.

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-27 2:52

imena host the git.

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-27 3:12

and I'm open to other designs. I'm just going with tinyscheme because it's a ~7000 line scheme implementation that's kind of well know. I figured I'd be able to review it the fastest.

i wish i had the skills necessary to make my own textboard :(

It's ok, you can observe and cheer us on. You'll learn some new things.

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-27 4:11

Ok, I'll give you the skills to create a textboard, and then you can save /prog/

Wouldn't it be easier to just stop shitposting?

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-27 10:28

>>25
To stop shitposting, make it so that shitposting costs money.
10 posts per hour, more if you purchase 4chan premium access points(which expire if unused). Real posters don't posts more than 10 posts per hour: shitposters do.

Don't give Mootberg any ideas.

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-27 11:01

I think the simplest is having every IP have a refilling counter that refills constantly at the rate of 0.2 per second (720 per hour) with a ceiling of 180, and posting is disabled temporarily below 0, and counter deducts for certain actions:

Creating a thread costs 200
Necromancy costs 150

Multiplication factor for all other post actions:
3. Posts with a statistical distribution with few letters in A-Za-z space cost 10
1. First reply in a thread costs 2
2. The rest of posts up to 30 cost 5
3. The rest of posts after 30 cost 3

With multiplication factor:
1. a post of less than 20 characters cost F*7
2. a post of around 20 to 40 characters cost F*5
3. a post of around 40 to 80 characters cost F*3
4. a post of around 80 to 300 characters cost F*1
5. a post with more than 300 characters cost F*8

We wouldn't need such ideas if people kept their non-programming outside of /prog/.

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-27 13:04

>>28
This sounds like a horrible idea, but the intention might be a good one.

I mean, forcing everyone to actually think out their posts would be a good way of improving overall quality, but your multiplication factor idea is flawed. That would certainly filter out long kopipes and other long shitposts, but think of the people who post long programs here, or just make long fruitful posts. Also, you can't really force everyone to avoid making short posts, because sometimes there isn't just any other choice.

The intention might be good.

^_^ Fuck you, that guy is utterly evil. If you see horrible, it is horrible. And it isn't suddenly good intentions then.

I propose a new rule. In order to report a thread, you must start a thread that is relevant to programming.

Name: Anonymous 2013-07-27 14:17

I propose a new rule. We all go to /r/programming and stay there.
