How much suffering/pain affects you. example
jumping from height(head first) 6/10 legal,high pain,high comfort
WHen you falls you feel no discomfort, the pain comes only after you hit the ground and lasts until the brain is destroyed(quite fast). The pain is high but the total suffering is very temporary(after your brain cannot process pain due head damage you suffer on impact). If you fail to damage the head(by jumping not head first or insufficient height you will just become a cripple with broken hands/feet/spine etc) you will experience a lot more pain.
.hanging 3/10 legal, medium pain, very low comfort.
hanging is painful but is much less painful than breaking open the head, however hanging is a slow an tedious process of asphyxia you feel every once of the pain all the time until you die from lack of oxygen. (If the hanging decapitates your head, you're spared from this .however hanging without breaking the neck is a gradual exhaustion of oxygen, when you grasp for some more oxygen, flailing and trying to break free(even unconsciously),etc meaning its really very low comfort and it can last quite long "The hangman botched the execution and the rope throttled the former foreign minister for twenty minutes before he expired.")
drowning with weights, 1/10 legal,highly painful,no comfort
the pain of drowning is like waterboarding torture that ends when you exhaust your oxygen. Its very uncomfortable and without weights its plain masochistic. The water in lungs leads to powerful reactions (drowning reflexes) that makes you panic and experience hellish conditions where you struggle for air(unconsciously, trying to reach the surface and falling back each time) until you die.(weights just shorten the time)
