Daily programming thread

Seeing as how mods don't care about this board since most of the top posts are just porn spam, what are you working on, /prog/?

At the very moment I'm at work, doing Android code and shit. Kinda boring.

Otherwise I'm currently writing a C++ abstraction library for the PIC32 family of microprocessors, with the goal to make them easier than they are now (instead of writing hardware registers) and harder than babby mode Arduino. I plan on publishing it for everyone once I'm done, since PIC32s are cheap (~$10), a shitload of pins, 80mhz CPU...all around more powerful than Arduino.

All meaningless unless you can verify the platform that was used to write the CD in the first place. Since every CD must have been written by some machine that existed before the CD was written, this reduces to having to verify, at some point in time, a machine not booted from a CD.

(Of course, any other form of write-once media suffers the same constraints as a CD).

For CDs specifically there's also the irritating issue of having to verify that the CD was actually finalized, otherwise the mythical bogeyman attack could take the form of a Puppy Linux liveCD and write out update information until the CD is completely filled, but I think this can be done by visual inspecting that the relevant part of the CD has been burned, so doesn't require trusting anything besides eyes and that the standard accurately describes the CD and all readers of it that have been used.
