CLTL says one can check if variable is bound and it's inferred type (http://www.cs.cmu.edu/Groups/AI/html/cltl/clm/node102.html)

but SBCL has no (variable-information variable &optional env) function.

&environment does provide the info on lexical variables, but it has undefined behavior and type SB-KERNEL:LEXENV.
