So DOOOOOOOOOPE! No wonder why I don't care to learn it.

Releasing a standard that adds a couple extra #$@_ to a dead language doesn't revive that language.
Nowadays the only Perl job offers are about rewriting legacy Perl in a better language. Soon there will be no @$@#$@#% left on the face of the Earth, except perhaps on Larry Wall's computer.
Man I'm so glad Perl is dead.
