Programmer's Insomia

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-30 9:48

Started that new programming job this week, and I've been averaging around 3-4 hours of sleep a night. I guess it's just anxiety and stress from starting a new job.

I've managed to keep my energy levels up with coffee and sheer willpower, but I'm not sure how much longer I can go on. I was almost passing out at my computer towards the end of the day yesterday.

I hope I can make it through the week and find some rest this weekend.

Programming job stress is no fun. I wish I could say it gets better, but it has not for me. I deal with it by chilling out as much as possible while not working.

This sounds like my life!

I just got my first paycheck too, deposited straight into my bank account at midnight. Going to go and get a snack at 7/11 and try to get back to sleep.

Work out, something aerobic will wear you out enough for you to relax get some sleep, like running.

That is, if you have the time.
