guide to setting up a sepples work enviroment

Hey Prog, I'm coming from a PHP background and I'm trying to get into sepples.

 I was wondering if anyone has or could recommend a step guide to get code to executable.

I can read and write code well especially with documentation like php.net to bounce off of but don't know were to start with C++.

I don't like a few of their extensions, but mostly it's because one of the maintainers pissed me off once. Also, C99 support sucks and is weird (VS is like this too, so I don't hold it against them), but that has nothing to do with sepples.

And MinGW just produces shitty executables.
