Truth against you UNIX drones.

The best OS is the one with the most relevant software and the most hardware compatibility. Even fucking SOLARIS would be "the best" if it had the software for it.

Linux is a good OS in "theory". Until they can actually break through into the desktop, productivity and other relevant markets as anything more than a toy OS (android), it's still "shit".

>mfw I run slackware 14, gentoo with dev-kernel builds and Windows 8
>mfw you're still fucking retarded

Truth against you Window$ and Mac O$ X drones.

The best OS is the one with the chief kernel designer whose last name starts with T. Even fucking Mac OS (pre-X) would be "the best" if it had its kernel created by a guy with a last name starting with T.

Windows is a good OS in "theory". Until they can actually have NTKRNL redesigned by a T guy and other relevant shit it's not anything more than a toy OS (WinRT), it's still "shit".

Because those people have jobs and families, and consequently little time to flame on newsgroups/IRC/HN etc. Programming for a living means you'll be using Windows 99% of the time. Not an argument, just a fact.

I program for a living. The only time I ever used Windows was to delete Spotify off my co-worker's computer as a prank. Even he uses OS X now.

Because Windows users don't think Windows is shit, and *nix users find that fact totally baffling.

OS X is basically Windows. It's closed as fuck, developers get paid money, and costs money to buy. Far from Linux.

u mena Tevanian?

>>61
No, it's not. The userspace is adopted from FreeBSD, and the kernel is a mashup of Mach and FreeBSD (originally 4.3BSD).

>>63
Nice binary hextuples!
