I'm not going to go around building my own microprocessor (yet), I just want to be able to appreciate the structure at that level. I went on a kick of playing around with assembly language about a month ago an I figured I should go deeper. I think it'd be neat to have a decent understanding of the way these machines work at every level.
Besides I might need to build computers from scratch after the fall of society so I can idle on 4chan some more.
