Can't play stupid steam games without downloading their binary blob bullshit that updates itself every week and logging in to the steam botnet via internet. No wonder "gabe" is so large.

1. when people are educated by RMS
2. they can identify with the issues he raised
3. they choose to accept proprietary software regardless
4. then complain about the harm on freedom caused by proprietary software

For me, it makes much better sense to invest my time, effort and money investing into the advancement of free software.

Agreed, I spend most of my time doing that (I even sent a small bit of code to GNU that got merged a few weeks back), today I'm running a few games and Steam to try to fit in the wintard vidya thing a bit, to seem friendly to gamer types I know. It's not the first time bullshit happens, I remember I installed the original version of Hamachi once and it actually blocked websites due to sloppy coding (story told here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamachi_%28software%29#Criticism)

Please, lumping Steve Jobs' progeny business model on all of proprietary software as it being solely their fault is stupid. we've had "shareware", "freeware" and so on without an "app store" for about 3 decades since the founding of the homebrew computer club in 1975.

In fact, the current "cloud" and little-black-boxes-at-home bullshit have been enabled on a corporate scale by nothing less than the GPL's loopholes.

I guess I understand that situation where you want to see what's going on in other areas. It's difficult to evaluate its features without installing and using that software.
