And about Palestina, I really don't care, they can have their land. Many people think alike, but simply not enough. It is a feedback loop. Muslim terrorist breed more right-wingers, which go on with the brutalization of Palestina, which breed more terrorists. We are a god forsaken democratic country. It is the opinion of the masses.
I am happy to know your masses are still somewhat sane after all.
The intolerant cannot be tolerated, but I understand that it is difficult if it are your own intolerant. Such as our fundamentalists.
Now let's be careful here. If you notice that a lot of ${group} are intolerant fuckwads (say, 80%), does it mean you should be careful and target only the intolerant fuckwads or does it mean it's okay to consider the entire group to be intolerant and take actions against the entire group?
But it is still naive to think you can stop radicals with simple policing actions. Look at Europe, great parts of many cities are no go areas. They don't care about law and even less about order.
In Europe this happened because a bunch of idiotic government officials thought it would be cool if they opened the indiscriminate immigration floodgates and let in people regardless of their intelligence and integrability. What's your excuse?
We can buy land and we do. We buy all kind of stuff. But there are separate groups, which we don't control, who keep colonizing Palenstina. Palestines misinterpreted these actions and they cycle begins anew.
So a strong, wealthy and militarized country can't even control their own illegal colonization?
Please. The only way this could work is if those separate groups have some support from the political and the military (no, I'm not implying that ALL of the political and the military are for that). The political can be put in prison, and the military can have court martial (and please go easy on those executions). I don't consider either of these measures to be violence.
You know, I would like to break it. Mostly I am charging here, but this is closer to my real opinion. We need to break it. By ultimate violence or by some I don't know what. Enlighten me, if you know sometime beside violence.
You could start by putting an end to the illegal colonization as described above, then by showing the palestinians (and whoever else is watching) some acts of good faith, e.g. by building them water pumps and by sending over food if they need it, maybe helping them with agriculture and giving them your old cars. Provide books if they want them. You might think it's way too expensive, but I believe that paying the military to be constantly on the watch for imminent attacks is a lot more expensive. And with all that, you can hope that someday that big wall will be unnecessary.
Ah it was one of your generals would said, you can solve everything with violence and he is right. Sufficient violence solves your problems. That is a simple question power.
Violence against whom? Killing all the palestinians? That won't work, some will escape and those will spend the rest of their lives making your life miserable. Killing all the fundies? They'll do the same. Violence works in the short run, and the problem is that you've been doing it for so long, it doesn't work anymore and what you're seeing is what happens with violence in the long run.
