I used to be attracted to black girls. In 6th grade I had a crush on a black girl named Latisha. She was tall with long legs. I used to sit and watch her play tetherball at recess. On the last day of class we were allowed to bring a camera and I snapped a picture of her playing tetherball. I probably still have that picture somewhere.
I saw her a few times in 7th grade. Once she approached me at my locker and told me she heard I had a crush on her (I had told several people). I probably felt defensive that she was telling me this to mock me, so I told her that I used to, but that I would never actually date a black girl because people would make fun of me. It wasn't until I saw the look on her face that I realized how bad I just fucked up.
Had I handled that differently, she probably would have been my first girlfriend.
