TERRIBLE VIDALIA PRIVACY LEAK

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-24 1:53

I recently noticed, that Vidalia Tor Bundle for GNU/Linux 64bit(https://www.torproject.org/dist/torbrowser/linux/tor-browser-gnu-linux-x86_64-2.3.25-2-dev-en-US.tar.gz) making a photos of you when clicking on Bookmarks button and sending something to IP 91.121.207.34 which belongs to suspicious organisation OVH SAS in France which also engaged in sabotage of pirated torrents http://www.sb-innovation.de/f56/anti-p2p-private-tracker-swarms-15793/
So, probably Vidalia is insecure, don't use it. And you might want to test it, in that case, send a bug report to torproject.org. My guess is this is sabotage from French goverment-related organizations.

Configure and compile? What kind of fagshit is that, what the fuck?

If there is just one reason to have the source it's for you to fucking read it, understand it to such level that you are completely sure it's not backdoor riddled. To bad everyone knows, that nobody does, so open sauce is just a mirrage for gullible pretenders. Actually, the only one who could read all the source and make any sense of open sauce shit, wouldn't really need the source to begin with, he'd just deassemble the binaries in his head and read the instructions. If you think that's too far fetched, these guys do exist, I know one in Sweden who does...anyway, you're just a faggot and so are everyone else jerking off while configuring and compiling crappy open shit.
