Run UNIX on top of Windows?

Name: Anonymous 2012-12-29 23:26

What's the best way to do this? I want drivers and such, but I also want a proper UNIX shell and software.

Why would you want UNIX? Windows is much more modern operating system. In Windows, you have things like multiprocessing and graphical user interface. These can't be found in UNIX. Also, considering that we are in /prog/, I think it's worth to mention that Visual Studio, the de facto development environment for programming only works in Windows. UNIX is probably only good for very long running processes, like the ones that keep running over 30 years. Though nowdays Windows might be better for even that.
