All software is free because you can just pirate it.
And ``open source'' means (generally) that every lamerz can pirate it (just google it and dl)
It also means ``unfinished work''. Think of a half-built house with all the scaffoldings left on site by the workers. What they really want to tell you is that they expect YOU to finish the work. You are strongly invited to get your hands dirty, find one of the numerous bug and submit a patch. You will of course work for FREE, as is advertised in the term ``Free Software''.
