- They innocently come here for help; their question is about programming, but not the kind of programming we like. They get trolled with responses useless to them, then they piss off.
- They don't know all of the /prog/ memes inside-out, say "What use is this SICP book to me", then they piss off.
- They are a /b/-tard, and spam threads with their idiocy (sadly, this is the current state of /prog/). They stay until they have to go back to school; in the meantime they contribute nothing of worth and are generally ignored or shouted at.
If you think of us as an autistic child - try and cope when we are dicks, but stick at it - you may or may not find that /prog/ is a rewarding place to be.
Just remember, so you aren't ostracised:
- Forget any mannerisms and memes you've taken from elsewhere (especially 4chan). Also use proper English spelling and grammar. Your posts will be dismissed and your points ignored if you don't.
- Pretend you've read SICP.
- Don't take anything the new FrozenVoid says seriously.
