In these modern times we ought to have a MAGICAL operating system based on principles of conjuring the spirits of the computer with our spells.

To begin with we should take FreeBSD source code (because of CONTRACTS WITH THE DEVIL) and running it through the CPP preprocessor so that instead of meaningful constants it's full of magic numbers. I would also like to see an implementation of the standard editor in less than 24 bytes.
