Why? They didn't even militate for

trusted treacherous computing and governmental spyware for all general purpose computers, or even mass surveillance, or, god forbid, restrictions on cryptography. IMHO the best they can do is to digitally erase the children in the photos and put them up on the Internet so that people can participate in identifying the location at which the child abuse occurred, or even use image processing to attempt to match the decor against photos on facebook (which would be okay since facebook-using retards have no real expectation of privacy); now
that would actually be helpful
and effective in reducing child abuse.

The point is that possession of CP indicates paedophilia, which itself is a dangerous mental condition (much like a very strong rape or murder fetish). However, it doesn't make sense to prosecute someone for that since it doesn't make sense to prosecute someone for being insane.
