scripting languages

What's your goto scripting language and how do you justify it?

Googled it and I guess it means you have lost. That's kind of lame.

Anyway, back on topic. I like Perl. It's really not that ugly if you know how to program and every once in a while you want some good built in regular expressions. I can't tell you how irritating it is using Python's re library. Terrible!

That and proper lexical scoping is hard to come by these days.
