Is it just on Swedish äpple keyboards that you have to hold down command+shift to type a fucking seagull-wing (curly bracket), or do my fellow american macfag programmers fight this evil on a daily basis as well?

Have you ever touched vi or gopher, or maybe even the caps lock? If you have, you know it is far better to press keys instead of chording. A complete solution is to make your modifiers in lock states (on and off).

And in reality, you only need 3 mods: Symbol shift (with extensions like in compose key), Control shift (for program/shell controls ), and Atl for extra jimmies (like macros!
