Is RUST worth a go?

I don't have a systems programming language. I "know" C but have no experience. I currently attending a compilers class for fun and I need something to write it in other than the typical sepples.

You should learn either Rust, Go or D, these languages are going to take over what C and C++ do for general programming, just as Scala, Clojure and F# are going to change how Java and C# are used
