What does 4chan think of golang?

Are you fucking trolling me? It's awesome!! I can't wait for the community to pick up more steam and produce some quality web frameworks.

- 32bit still problematic (look it up)
- libraries are immature

I assure you I am not a troll, and that I bear a similar sentiment to the language. I just wanted to know how others felt about it.

It's relatively new so of course it'll take time for people to write libraries.

slower than Scala
handles concurrency worse than Scala (by far)
does not have OO

I don't really care for OO, but can you back the claim it's slower than Scala?

Go should just die already. C isn't excellent but it does the job and we shouldn't try to replace it with actually inferior languages.

They had a chance to cure C's lack of type system and they consciously decided not to do it.  Which kinds of makes it just a garbage collected C with some extra syntax for channels.

A dead project

The creators are big time RESPECTED UNIX HACKERS who insist on doing everything in an archaic, unconventional way, as though this made them more rugged. "Everything should be as simple as possible, but not simpler." They just leave out major important features from Go in an attempt to make the language "more simple." Sure, the complexity of Sepples is annoying. Simple tools are reliable and easy to use--but toothpicks are also simple, and I'm not going to use toothpicks to build a skyscraper. In other words, Go is ideal for toy programs.
