Why do I feel like I am being brainwashed..

I am being brainwashed by some sort of emergent structure hidden in plain view, everywhere at once
Why does it need to brainwash me? What do I have to offer for it?

I just realized a new theory on new kinds of life forms. Maybe there exists an Internet alien that lives on the internet as a distributed network, and attaches itself onto physical lifeforms such as humans by displaying specific, unrecognizeable patterns that affects the subconscious. The attached, physical patterns cannot reproduce by themselves yet because internet lifeforms aren't that evolved yet. What do you guys think of my theory? Have others thought of this?
