First you build a social network site, its easy to do, anyone who knows PHP/SQL can do it. Make it like Facebook or 4chan or whatever, just something you can attract a few thousand people. Once youve made the app and built up a small user base you go to silicon valley and hang out at starbucks where you pitch your site to VCs. Thats it, the VC buys in, you have say 20% ownership as well a few million that they paid you for their percentage.
