Woman engineers you admire

I'll start with Marissa Mayer of Google (she moves to Yahoo to assume a CEO position at the age of 37).  I must shamefully admit that I have heard of her only today and learned that she was responsible for the Google homepage, which felt like a breath of clean air after seeing the suffocatingly overloaded homepages of yahoo, altavista and other garbage piles.  geocities She had conquered my heart with her captivating laughter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcSujceZDmg also her name is Marisa and she is blond like the real Marisa

I am watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dyvd9fyXpDM interview right now, and what strikes me is that the host repeatedly attempts to coerce her to make a feminist rant, planting suggesting questions about her views on women in nicely paying jobs like search giants, and each time she brushes it off, because she is an engineer first, then a product manager, then a geek, et cetera, and only then a woman, much like all other great (or event decent) engineers.

I find the host's behavior outraging.  Is it customary in the US to spam each and every talk with feminist propaganda, even the ones that are about technology?

I remember this comic about three nerds playing a trivia game, then they encounter a question about a WNBA player, so they go on their website to find out the answer. Then a black guy in a surveillance room sees an alarm go off, and looks to see for the cause; he is extremely surprised to see that the WNBA website finally got its first hit.
