Hi /prog/

I'm a C.S. student a sub-dogshit tier university, going into my third year. I'm increasingly aware of how mediocre my job prospects look, especially in view of my poor results (I haven't really engaged with the course much, and I definitely haven't applied myself either). They only teach us java, and I feel the need to learn C++ on my own time, but then I see many of you guys frequently shitting all over it. So should I learn it, or what would you suggest as an alternative that would improve my job/career prospects?

I could also use some opinions on which 2 of the following optional modules are likely to do the same:

-Web and network management
-Object oriented design & architecture
-Mobile computer engineering
-3D dynamic modelling
-Intellectual property law & IT
-Verification and validation / Computer graphics algorithms (one semester each, all the other options last for both semesters)

Also general /prog/ career advice appreciated.

btw do you guys know/have any opinions on bucky roberts from thenewboston?

He has basically taught me 90% of what I know. youtube has taught me more than uni, which makes the whole thing kind of feel like a scam.
