My Biology BA is toilet paper

Six months and not a single bite in the job market.

Should I try to get into programming so I can maybe land a job outside of McDonald's?

I've always like using computers to fap to touhous so I figure I'd be good at it.

Worked as an ``analyst'' at a shitty tech company that thinks that training its own programmers is better than hiring computer science grads, did all the actual learning on my own and left when I had been there long enough to be able to put two years of programming experience on my resume. So there was luck involved, but there always is. You do need to enjoy it though, otherwise its not worth it.
After working with people who do have CS degrees, I know from experience that that doesn't guarantee that are going to be a great or even decent programmer anyway.
