Programming is shit

I'm going to school for Computer Science, but after a year, i've realized programming is a shitty job and completely boring 99% of the time.

Unless i find myself something really interesting, i don't even put the effort into programming random toy things. It's just so boring.


Is this normal?

yes it is. look at a sylybus for any CS curriculum, it is all boilerplate, data structures, algorithms, everything required to squeeze performance through the von neuman bottleneck. but quantum computers will kill all this sillyness
