I think its funny that the article blames access to porn and internet culture for the decline of the male role in society when actually it is the only thing propping it up and giving youth some semblance of normality. Without it you would see a severe mental breakdown that would prevent young people from even functioning. The actual decline of male role as head of the family began in my generation, Im a genX'er now in my 40s. The fact that guys my age still get married and have children only happens because of the percentage of women who still want it to happen. You look in the suburbs and see the typical middleclass family because there are women who want that. If there wives left them, these guys would end up being porn watching internet lurkers just like the kids of today. The male role model is a fallacy, when divorce happens, then you see men's true colors, you see them revert back to what they really are, just another loser trying to score in the singles scene.
