So what do you do after two semesters of learning Java if you want to keep learning on your own?  My college course covered all the basics up to data structures, recursion, and algorithmic complexity.  I've got some free time this summer so I'd like to get a little more advanced, maybe learn some concurrency, more data structures like trees, etc, but I don't really know where to go.  I'm also debating learning C++ and picking up a book on game programming, but I don't know if that's a waste of time or not.

So I guess basically I'm asking /prog/ what's good for a beginner-intermediate programming student to study over the summer.
