In the not so distant future, a new peer-to-peer filesharing protocol is conceived. It is called BitSea, as it is like BitTorrent, but is much more scalable and stable. Calm and big like the sea, hence the name. There exists a web tracker for files using such a protocol. It is called The Water Spout. It is the BitSea equivalent to a BitTorrent tracker, like The Pirate Bay, Tokyo Toshokan, etc.

One day, a man decides to collect information on files being shared on this tracker. He creates a small web crawler and uses it to gather information on The Water Spout. However, his crawler's server was attacked by members of The Water Spout using a SYN flooding utility called "Rain".

The itsy bitsea spider went up the water spout! Down came the rain and washed the spider out!
