Why is /prog/ so shit?

This board is shit. It's like /g/ without desktop threads but worse. There are no serious threads or threads about programming worth reading. The worst part is that it's filled with spam all the time.

1) Was it always like this?
2) Are you satisfied with it?
3) Are mods satisfied with it?
4) Are there any mods?

That kind of logic just doesn't work. I can't understand how such an illogical person can be a programmer. You can't be very successful.
